Further Information

Waseem Ahmed studied history at the University of Birmingham and is pursuing a PhD at the University College in London.

In his thesis “Everyday Politics in Revolutionary England, 1649-1660 (seit Sept. 2021)”. Waseem investigates the role of informers in early modern times. He treats informing as fundamentally an ‘informal’ political practice that allowed individuals, even humbler ones, who were usually excluded from more formalised political participation to engage with the state.
